INTERVIEW: Why is Elections Canada investigating this pro-life group?
“I'm not a lawyer, I'm a Chartered Professional Accountant, so I don't know what the proper legal terminology is -- I don't know if 'summons' is the correct term, but we were sent a letter from the commissioner's office for Elections Canada saying that there was an allegation made that we had contravened certain parts of the Canada Elections Act and an investigation was coming forth, and that one of the results that could happen from that investigation, one of the conclusions could be the imposition of monetary penalties upon our organization.”
