Justin Trudeau's COVID-19 detention centres: What you need to know
On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, we looked at the Trudeau government's request for information on finding private service providers to run federal quarantine and isolation camps.
Here's a bit of what Ezra had to say:
So there it is. These detention centres are for public health reasons — or other reasons related to the pandemic. Hang on, what is a non-health reason for a detention centre? Why, it’s for non-compliance. For people who aren’t sick, aren’t a health risk, but are a political risk — as Theresa Tam said in that film clip I showed earlier, it’s for people who won't do what politicians tell then to do.
I find it odd that the government is asking for tips on how to do this; asking for vendors to dazzle them with ideas.
Hang on, either you need something or you don’t. Why would you tell the world’s prison companies to hit you with their best shot? Hey guys, just dazzle me! I don’t know what I want, but I’ll know when I see it! Impress me, guys!
Why are you asking the world’s private prison companies to come up with “solutions” for you?
If you ask a jail-builder to come up with ideas, it will be an idea for jails.
