Texas salon owner explains to judge why she re-opened her business

A woman named Shelley Luther owns a Dallas, Texas salon called A La Mode. Social distancing rules meant to quell the coronavirus shut down her business, and as the shutdown continued for weeks, it was threatening to throw her entire staff into deep poverty.

So, she opened back up again.

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, we looked at the video conferencing footage from her trial before she was thrown in jail for violating the state's stay-at-home order.

UPDATE: In the last 24 hours, Texas Governor Greg Abbott changed his executive orders, setting Luther free... and Ted Cruz visited Shelley for a haircut!
