Truth is the first casualty of “politically correct science”
With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, science is a topic that has been on people's minds perhaps more than ever. Between the virus itself, lockdowns, masks, vaccines and everything in between, the average person has been inundated with more data than they've likely ever been exposed to.
But what happens when politics gets intertwined with science?
That's a topic that guest host David Menzies explored on yesterday's edition of The Ezra Levant Show.
In his monologue, David explained how science — like gender — has become something of a fluid ideology:
And so it is that just as gender is now fluid, well science is kind of fluid too. At least when it comes to the Wuhan virus. This is especially the case when politicians appropriate science, because politicians must always do the politically correct thing, meaning that truth is always the first casualty. Indeed, during this pandemic how many times have we seen politicians politicize science, so that it fits their narrative, ultimately making science, well, unscientific.
