"I will kill you!": Man yells death threats at Falun Gong practitioners outside Chinese consulate in Toronto, claims sidewalk is "Chinese territory"
A man confronted peaceful Falun Gong demonstrators outside Toronto's Chinese consulate, insisting the public sidewalk was "Chinese territory" and screaming death threats.

Editor's note: After publication, the Chinese consulate issued a statement to Rebel news. It reads: "The man in the video has no connection with the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Toronto. We strongly oppose any malicious implication or false accusations made to damage the reputation of China and the Consulate-General.
A disturbing video circulating on social media shows a man in a jacket bearing the Chinese flag screaming at a woman and threatening to kill Falun Gong practitioners on a public street in Toronto — all while insisting the ground beneath him is Chinese sovereign territory, not Canadian soil.
The footage, posted by the account @WhatisonToronto, appears to have been filmed outside the Chinese Consulate General at 240 St. George Street. It was published on X on Tuesday evening, September 22, with the Chinese-language audio translated into English subtitles.
Is Canada becoming China? This happened in front of Chinese Consulate in Toronto around 9:20am Sep 22, 2027. Interestingly the man asked to take a video of his activity. pic.twitter.com/5k9DwxZDm6

Here's how it played out, based on the audio captured in the video.
It begins calmly. A woman who appears to be part of the Falun Gong community has signs and banners set up on the sidewalk in front of the consulate. "This is Canada," she tells the man confronting her, who is wearing the Chinese flag-embroidered jacket.
He fires back immediately, inches from her face: "Do you want to hit me?" — as he begins aggressively tearing down the banners and signs.
The woman calls out to the person filming to dial 911 and get police to the scene.
The man then calls to someone off-camera to "help me make a video" while he continues tearing apart the group's property. He even joins in calling for police to arrive — his hands still ripping apart their message as he does.
What follows is an argument over the Falun Gong materials. She insists "this belongs to us," while the aggressor screams at them to take their "illegal stuff" down.
That's when the threats turn severe. The man can seemingly be heard shouting:
- "This is right outside the embassy — this is Chinese territory, you understand?"
- "I can shoot you in China"
- "Get out! Get out!"
- "I will kill you, don't you know?"
He also accused the Falun Gong practitioners of "national splittism" — a phrase lifted straight from Beijing's political vocabulary, typically reserved for Taiwan, Tibet, Hong Kong, and the religious minorities the Chinese Communist Party considers threats to its rule.
Throughout, the Falun Gong practitioners can be heard trying to de-escalate, repeating that they simply want police to arrive and "decide" who's in the right. They identify themselves clearly as followers of Falun Gong, referring to their spiritual teacher only as "Master."

In a reply to the original post, a photo shows the woman with a fresh wound on her chin and light bleeding, captioned: "The lady in the video got hurt in the chin."
At one point, one of the practitioners shouts for help, saying someone is "vandalizing" their property.
Chinese territory — in downtown Toronto?
Canada's own intelligence services, along with RCMP investigations into so-called Chinese "overseas police stations," have repeatedly flagged Toronto as a hotspot for transnational repression by Beijing-aligned actors — targeting Falun Gong, Hong Kong democracy activists, Uyghurs, and other dissidents right here on Canadian soil.
Rebel News has sent media inquiries to both the Chinese Consulate General in Toronto and the Toronto Police Service, asking:
-
Who is the man in the video, and is he affiliated with the Consulate?
-
Was this incident reported to police, and has anyone been identified or charged?
-
Does Beijing's Toronto consulate believe Canadian streets are Chinese territory — and does it endorse threatening Canadian residents with execution?
We will update this story as responses come in.
