'It is not racist to want border control': Rape gang survivors speak out in London

Tommy Robinson urged Canadians to learn from Britain's mistakes as survivors described abuse that was ignored by the authorities meant to protect them.

Rebel News journalist Alexa Lavoie was on the ground in Trafalgar Square in London on Saturday, September 26, as survivors of rape, grooming and sexual exploitation gathered for National Survivors Day to demand justice from a government they say abandoned them.

"Today was about forcing those uncomfortable conversations into the open," Alexa said. "It was about giving survivors a voice."

Speaker after speaker described abuse that was dismissed for years by police, councils and social workers more worried about accusations of racism than about the girls in their care. An independent inquiry chaired by MP Rupert Lowe has put the scale of the grooming gang scandal at more than 250,000 victims across 149 districts.

Tommy Robinson, who has campaigned on the issue for nearly two decades, told the crowd Britain's rape figures had climbed from roughly 8,000 a year to 88,000, which he attributed to mass migration from cultures "hostile to women." He also had a message for Canadians: "Be brave. Stand up. Find your voices. Because if you don't, you're going to be in an irreparable situation like we are."

Attendees repeatedly rejected the "far right" label. "It is not racist to want border control," one said. Another told Alexa the government "did nothing" to stop the small boats and had "sold us out a long time ago."

Help us keep investigating Britain's migrant crisis

Alexa Lavoie is heading back to Britain to cover the rape gang protests and the prosecution of Danny Tommo.

Danny was arrested after cutting an empty migrant dinghy in the English Channel. He's pleaded not guilty to criminal damage, been refused bail, and faces a Crown Court hearing in Portsmouth. Meanwhile, ordinary Britons are taking to the streets to demand justice for the victims of the country's rape gangs. The British establishment media can't be trusted to tell the truth about either story.

Alexa will be outside the courthouse and at the protests, speaking directly with supporters, protesters, police and local residents to show you what's really happening on the ground.

Sending a journalist overseas isn't cheap. Flights, accommodations, local transportation and production costs quickly add up. And unlike the government-funded media, Rebel News relies on viewers like you to make this kind of independent reporting possible.

Great idea Peter, if only that could happen.

In unserious moments, I wonder what would happen if the UK armed forces deployed a squadron of aircraft and tasked them to strafe the migrant boats as soon as they entered UK territorial waters. I think it would be a safe bet that the the influx of migrants across the English Channel would drop to zero within a week.

Leftists use jihadists to demoralize nations like the UK. Sensible governments wouldn’t allow this to go on.
