A British Columbia school board trustee who dared to speak out against the very controversial sexual orientation and gender identity curriculum taught in many Western Canadian schools, known as SOGI 123, is still finding himself being “cancelled” by his colleagues years later.

Barry Neufeld, a long-time Chilliwack school board trustee and the recent winner of the Chilliwack-Hope Community Hero Award, has been in an uphill battle to clear his name after going public with concerns over components of the SOGI 123 curriculum as well as a few controversial Facebook posts on the issue.

Despite the efforts of Neufeld’s colleagues trying to label him as “hateful” and “transphobic,” Neufeld was re-elected as a school trustee, receiving the second highest amount of votes!

But alas, though so many members of the community valuing what Neufeld offers to the Chilliwack school board, Neufeld, the chairman upped the efforts to keep Barry from doing his job, and many of his colleagues voted to enforce the back door move.

Watch my full report where I interview Neufeld and his lawyer Paul Jaffe about the progress of Neufeld’s case to uphold free speech, and to learn more about corruption Neufeld alleges in the schoolboard.

You can learn more about SOGI 123 here, and how it’s linked to a B.C. mom's legal battle to prevent a surgeon from performing a double mastectomy on her trans-identified teenager.
