“Jessica” Yaniv LOSES suits against female estheticians who’d refused to wax his genitals
We’ve been covering the case of “Jessica” Yaniv very closely: Born Jonathan Yaniv, the B.C. resident has made international headlines for filing serial “human rights complaints,” the most notorious of which targeted most immigrant female entrepreneurs who refused to wax his (male) genitals.
Today, Yaniv was ordered to pay a small financial remedy to the women he dragged into this frivolous and vindictive lawfare. A Human Rights Tribunal member has further ruled that no esthetician is obligated to provide waxing services when they do not consent. (This is something most Canadians would have taken for granted.)
In this interview, I spoke with former Crown prosecutor Jay Cameron who represented several of the women on behalf of the non-profit Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms law firm.
For those new to this kangaroo court case, see our documentary on the matter here.
