Canadians face coronavirus recession — and Trudeau is hiking the carbon tax by 50% next week

The Royal Bank of Canada is projecting that double digit unemployment is going to hit Canada as a result of the #coronavirus economic collapse and instead of relief, you’re getting a 50% hike of the one tax that touches absolutely everything in your life.

National furniture retailer, Leons, is closing 72 of its 205 stores across Canada and laying off 3,900 workers in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Before Quebec and Ontario shut down all non-essential services two days ago, nearly one million people had already filed for employment benefits.

A Globe and Mail article predicts that a total four million applications for employment benefits will be filed by workers who have lost income because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It's like the Great Depression out there and it's only going to get worse. However, in the midst of this, Trudeau is raising his carbon tax — his one tax that makes everything you do, eat and need more expensive — by 50%.

Justin Trudeau is raising the price of bread when four million bread winners are predicted to file for employment benefits in the very near future. It’s inhumane.

The Liberals now have the decarbonized economy they wanted. Everyone is staying home — no flights, no travel, no movement, no jobs except those that allow for telecommuting.

Isn’t this enough for the Liberals to put this crazy tax on ice?

The hard-working, law-abiding workers of this great country will suffer incredibly as a result of the tax hike on April 1 — and for what? So this trust fund, fake-progressive, “blackface” prime minister can continue his heartless, pre-pandemic, eco-radical agenda to impress his celebrity friends?
