CBC, NDP “coordination” to disgrace Indigenous rights lawyer for conservative posts: Leighton Grey with Ezra Levant
On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Indigenous rights lawyer Leighton Grey joined me to talk about how he was removed from a legal office because of backlash over some conservative social media posts.
Sheila Gunn Reid covered the full story last week here.
In this interview, Leighton tells his side of the story:
“There was something in the works that grew in successive weeks where there was coordination between ... Mr [Tom] Engel, the NDP and the CBC.
“So, about ten days ago, [CBC journalist] Rachel Ward contacted my office, she contacted me via email. I didn't respond. She contacted me again, this time in a very threatening way, in that if I didn't respond she was going to publish all kinds of unsavoury things about me — that I was a racist, that I was anti-Semitic and so on.
“I sought legal advice, and the advice was that I probably should not respond until I saw the piece.”
