Challenging Wet'suwet'en 'hereditary' Chief Woos: Why did you steal your title?

Frank Alec of the Wet'suwet'en First Nations is currently sitting across the table from Minister Carolyn Bennett, negotiating the specifics of the $6.6 billion Coastal GasLink pipeline. You may have heard about this “deal”. But who is Frank Alec? Well, he claims to be Chief Woos, a title traditionally held by revered matriarchs of the Wet'suwet'en.

It's a title he stole from a woman who, unlike Woos, endorses the construction of the pipeline through their territory in British Columbia.

He also says that the Earth is flat. The Trudeau Liberals handpicked Frank Alec for these talks, ignoring the several elected councillors and chiefs who would be more than willing to help settle the land title issues that are currently mobilizing blockades across the country.

I went to Northern B.C, and I had some questions for Frank. WATCH to see what happened.
