STOP JONATHAN YANIV

Suing Yaniv is about self-respect — it's about deterring a serial harasser and reigning in a predator. Can you help us serve justice?

Rebel News is suing Jonathan "Jessica" Yaniv in civil court for his assaults on Keean Bexte and David Menzies.

Suing Yaniv is about self-respect, and it’s about deterring a serial harasser. Most of his victims didn’t know how to fight back — they were new immigrant women who didn’t have access to justice and possibly didn’t even know they could sue him.

Depending on how it goes, this lawsuit could cost us as much as $40,000. But it’s about finally standing up to a bully who is so brazen that he actually felt confident attacking two of our reporters, right outside a courthouse where he was already on trial for weapons offences. Someone’s got to finally stop him, and it looks like it has to be us.

Jonathan "Jessica" Yaniv filed several claims in a British Columbia court today in response to Rebel News’ civil litigation against the Langley area predator. Yaniv, who identifies as female, made headlines around the world for taking female aestheticians to court for refusing to wax his male genitalia.

The civil litigation was filed in January after Yaniv violently assaulted me. Yaniv had already assaulted David Menzies with a blunt weapon — and that is part of the action as well. Yaniv claims he was in an unstable “state of mind” as a defence for the altercation.

Strangely, Yaniv identifies himself to the court as “Jonathan Yaniv, also known as Jessica Yaniv”. Countless Twitter accounts have been suspended and banned for using the name “Jonathan”, which Yaniv now verifiably uses himself.

While Yaniv does have legal counsel retained for his criminal trials, the document filed with the court does not appear to have been written by a lawyer, as it is riddled with contradictions, plus spelling and grammatical mistakes. (You can see that document below.)

Given Yaniv’s claims and refusal to pay damages, this action will proceed to court.

We sent one of our newest Rebel News reporters, Drea Humphrey down to the court to view the proceedings. Unfortunately, court was adjourned until September 25, 2020.

It’s not about making money. It’s about making some justice, and reining in a predator. Thank you for your help!

Keeping up with Yaniv costs us thousands of dollars. Not only do we have all our legal fees, but when our reporters cover Yaniv's trials, we have to send security incase they try to attack us.

If you can help us cover our legal bills, I’d be grateful — please use the donation form on this page to chip in.
