On Monday's live stream, Ezra Levant reacted to Doug Ford's crude remarks targeting Donald Trump as the trade war between the U.S. and Canada continues.

The Ontario premier faced immediate criticism from critics after telling President Trump to "kiss my ass" during a Monday morning radio appearance on Newstalk 1010.

Ford blasted Trump as "arrogant," "cocky," and a "bully," stating, "Well, he can kiss my ass as far as I'm concerned."

Later that afternoon at a press conference in Hamilton, Ford repeated the sentiment to reporters. He joked, "I have a lot of real estate on my ass, so he has a lot of room to kiss my ass."

Ford's comments come after Canada failed to reach a new trade agreement with the U.S. over the weekend, as talks collapsed and 50% tariffs on roughly $28 billion in Canadian goods took effect.

President Trump hit back later Monday on Truth Social, dismissing Ford’s remarks as “lots of bluster” and labelling the Ontario premier a “flunky” and the “less charismatic, intelligent, and overall unimpressive brother” of the late Toronto mayor Rob Ford.

Ezra suggested Ford may actually not want Canada to reach a new trade agreement with the U.S. "My theory is he doesn't actually want a deal, and he's doing literally everything he can stop a deal," he said.

"Does that theory make more sense than 'No he really wants a deal. He thinks swearing and personal attacks on Trump is the way to go,'" Ezra continued. "That's what you do if your goal is score points as a Trump fighter, an America fighter, an America hater, that's what you do."

President Trump has further threatened to raise tariffs on Canadian cars, trucks, auto parts and steel to 50 percent starting January 1, 2027, unless a new agreement is reached.
