“HATE SPEECH ISN'T FREE!” Transgender activists protest feminist Meghan Murphy
Feminist Meghan Murphy visited a Toronto public library last night to deliver a speech on gender identity and its legislative ramifications, but not everyone was happy about that.
Members of the transgender community tried to shut down Murphy’s discussion, claiming her opinions regarding naturally-born women are tantamount to “hate speech.” (Thankfully, the censorious thugs had no success deplatforming the event thanks to a considerable police presence.)
But the irony was both profound and perverse: while members of the trans community have long clamoured for tolerance and understanding, they seem to have zero tolerance and understanding should one have the temerity to expresses an opinion differing from their own PC narrative.
