“The law needs to be kept”: CPC leadership hopeful Derek Sloan on blockades and how a “true conservative” can win
On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, guest host Keean Bexte interviewed Conservative Party of Canada leadership candidate Derek Sloan, MP for the Ontario riding of Hastings—Lennox and Addington.
Sloan introduces himself as a “full conservative”, a “social conservative” who believes that the CPC needs to be “bigger and bolder” with a leader who puts Canada first “no matter what”.
Sloan also talks about how the Conservative Party sticks too much to issues like the economy, boutique tax credits and Liberal Party corruption, but as the 2019 election results showed, it's not enough to win. The CPC, says Sloan, must be willing to broach controversial topics.
And while the “the law needs to be kept” on the blockades currently holding Canada hostage, there are real issues concerning First Nations and reserves in Canada.
