UPDATE:
April has scored a double victory for women's sports
1. Powerlifting's international governing body pressured the Canadian powerlifting body to bar biological males identifying as female from competing against women!
2. Although her suspension wasn't fully lifted, the single arbitrator tasked with reviewing the decision has ruled that Hutchinson’s suspension should be reduced from two years to one!
Rebel News assisted in offsetting the costs of the legal review of April's suspension through crowdfunded efforts at www.StandWithApril.com. Please chip in a donation right here on this page to help pay the costs for April's legal representation.
BACKGROUND:
Team Canada powerlifter April Hutchinson has repeatedly raised concerns about biological males competing in women's sports, particularly biological men dominating the women's powerlifting competition.
After multiple attempts to voice her concerns, the Canadian Powerlifting Union decided to suspend her for 2 years.
