The media only care about mass shootings that fit their narrative | John Lott with Ezra Levant
On a recent episode of The Ezra Levant Show, gun rights advocate John Lott joined the show to discuss the numerous myths surrounding firearms.
When Ezra asked John about whether Liberals in Canada, or Democrats in the U.S. only focus on certain shootings that support their political narrative, John had this to say:
I think part of it which fits in [with what was asked] is I'm not even sure we ever knew what gun [in the Nova Scotia shooting] the guy used to begin with, at least not in the initial news reports that I saw over the first weeks afterwards. And I suspect that the gun that was used didn't fit the narrative. The person, in any case, wasn't legally licensed to go and own the guns that he had.
The issue of negative - or even outright false - coverage of guns is extremely important to John, and one he covers in great detail in his new book: Gun Control Myths: How politicians, the media, and botched "studies" have twisted the facts on gun control
