“Trudeau could do more”: First Nations react to rail blockades closing down Canada
A First Nations couple weighs in on the anti-pipeline rail blockades — and guess who they blame? (Spoiler alert: he bears the initials “J.T.”)
I recently visited Union Station to ask inconvenienced commuters about those irksome pop-up rail blockades, and we were fortunate to meet two First Nations persons to garner their insight.
Their take on the ongoing rail blockades? They feel betrayed by the Trudeau Liberals, saying that if Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had lived up to his 2015 election promises regarding reconciliation with the native community, the blockades might never have happened.
