Trudeau hiring 24/7 nursing staff for Roxham Road's illegal border crossing
Justin Trudeau is getting ready for a sudden influx of asylum seekers at Roxham Road by hiring nurses for the facilities there.
Which is weird, because the Liberals keep telling me the Roxham border crossing is closed.
Did you know that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada says 1,390 people in total filed for asylum in Canada in May? That means nearly 1,400 people came to Canada, likely by a plane, and claimed asylum during the pandemic — and 21 of those were apprehended by police trying to cross the border into Canada?
And it's not stopping anytime soon.
Look at this, from the Government of Canada's procurement website:
The supplier must provide the services of two (2) registered nurse registered to practise in Quebec/or the equivalent in Canada. They must provide nursing services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle, Quebec via Roxham Road, where the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has installed a temporary post. The 2 resources must provide asylum seekers with a brief health assessment by a certified professional with advanced physical assessment skills.
What this means to me is that this new hiring tender, along with the permanent RCMP infrastructure now in place at the LaColle illegal border crossing at the end of Roxham Road, is that the Feds are getting ready to throw the border back open.
