Two-tiered policing in Toronto: Different rules for opposing demonstrations outside U.S. Consulate

Anti-regime demonstrators were told to lower their volume while supporters of the Islamic Republic in Iran blasted amplified speeches and music outside the U.S. Consulate.

On Sunday, August 16, supporters of the Islamic Republic occupying Iran planned a rally against the war with the regime. In response, supporters of a free Iran, supporters of Israel and those opposed to IRGC infiltration in Canada planned a counter-demonstration.

The two groups were separated by police barricades. The side supporting the Islamic Republic blasted speeches and music at the loudest volume I have personally ever heard at any demonstration in front of the U.S. Consulate. Meanwhile, anti-regime demonstrators were told to minimize their noise and turn down their volume.

Multiple independent journalists were shoved and hit in the head with flagpoles by demonstrators carrying Palestinian and Islamic Republic flags. More than one alleged assault occurred directly in front of a line of police officers, who simply looked on.

One of the incidents took place as pro-regime demonstrators walked past anti-regime demonstrators. One man, Marco Antonio Munoz, allegedly tripped a female anti-regime demonstrator in front of witnesses, including police.

Munoz has previously been charged with assault for allegedly attacking a woman at Bathurst and Sheppard. His conditions state that he must “keep the peace and be of good behaviour.” It is unclear whether police deemed his behaviour on Sunday to be good and peaceful.

Police lost control of the situation because they don’t understand what they’re dealing with. One should question whether mandatory education on listed terrorist organizations should be required when policing a demonstration supporting them.

Undoubtedly, those supporting terrorism will act violently. And when they are allowed by police to behave violently, the violence will only escalate.

The setting, directly across from the U.S. Consulate, perfectly encompasses that.

This test of Islamic domination under the banner of multiculturalism has sparked widespread outrage over noise pollution. Yet police have responded by ramping up patrols around Muslim sites and warning that threats related to the controversy will be investigated under the enhanced hate crime provisions of Bill C-9, the Combatting Hate Act—even while they approved the disruptive broadcast.

Enforce the Noise Abatement Bylaw equally, silence these loudspeakers now, and stop Islamic domination in Regina!

    Two-tier policing has become the by-product of leftist municipal governments such as that of that goof, Olivia Chow in Toronto. It takes a socialist regime along with weak police leadership to destroy police professionalism.

    This reminds me of totalitarian regimes where one side was approved while another was disapproved. Canada has become a socialist and Islamist nightmare for Jews and all who care about the rule of law. Worse yet, these lawless Islamist protesters know they can get away with violence. But woe to any counter deminstrator who even frowns at the pro-Iranian regime folks.
