27,000 UN climate change warriors need massive conference centres, too
The conference center that houses the UN climate change conference this year in Madrid is enormous.
It's called the IFEMA, and I circumnavigated the entire thing on foot to experience it because Keean Bexte and I aren't allowed inside to report. The Canadian government asked the UN to ban us from doing journalism from inside the conference and the UN was happy to oblige.
I walked for 40 minutes to get all the way around IFEMA.
The UN has nearly 27,000 delegates and observers in attendance, and nearly 3100 of them are journalists!
But there is no room for 2 prickly skeptics, like Keean and me.
