“Younger people tend to be outraged by it:” Blackface reactions outside Liberal event at Jamaican-Canadian centre
At a Toronto meet and greet event for members of the black community and various federal candidates, there was a surprising amount of forgiveness for Justin Trudeau’s fetish for donning blackface and brownface.
The event was held by the Jamaican Canadian Association and attendees spoke with me about the Trudeau scandals and local candidate Judy Sgro's strange comments that “the Black community have told me how much more love they have for the Prime Minister” after seeing him in blackface.
