Elections Alberta came after our Independence Tour — the events that brought Sheila Gunn Reid, Tamara Lich and Cory Morgan to packed rooms across the province to talk about Alberta's future.

Government bureaucrats investigated the tour, treating Albertans gathering to discuss the future of their own province as if it were illegal “political advertising.”

They'd gone after Sheila before over her book Stop Notley. But this time, we fought back — and we won.

Our lawyers at JSS Barristers stood up to Elections Alberta, and after nearly six months, the investigation was closed. Because in a free country, you shouldn't need government permission to meet, speak or debate the future of your own province.

But victories like this aren't free. Elections Alberta's lawyers are paid by taxpayers. Ours are paid by supporters like you.
