We did it. Culling the Cure, the new Rebel News documentary about the government's slaughter of hundreds of healthy ostriches at Universal Ostrich Farm, is complete.

For months, our team travelled to Edgewood, B.C. to document this extraordinary story. We captured exclusive footage, investigated the actions of the CFIA and RCMP, and followed the farmers' fight to save their ostriches right through to the devastating end.

Then we hired an experienced professional documentary filmmaker to take everything our journalists had captured and turn it into a full-length documentary worthy of this incredible story.

This isn't just an animal rights film. It's a story about government overreach, property and farmers' rights, and health bureaucrats continuing their pandemic-era practice of unnecessarily targeting Canadians — even in the face of contradictory science.

Now the film is finished — and we want as many Canadians as possible to see it.

But producing an independent documentary like this isn't cheap. Rebel News paid for months of reporting, travel to and from British Columbia, production expenses, and the professional filmmaker we hired to bring the finished documentary together.
