STOP DEPLATFORMING!

Correction: In May 2024, Rebel News was co-host of a two-day conference at a private venue in Downsview Park (“the Event”). Shortly before the Event the hosts were required to pay additional costs for new security measures on-site.

Rebel News, Ezra Levant and Rumble commenced a civil action against a number of defendants because of the imposition of these costs, and our belief that there had been a deliberate attempt to cancel the Event. One of those defendants was the Honourable Ya’ara Saks.

During the course of the litigation it has become clear that Ms. Saks did not attempt to cancel the Event in any way. We have agreed to an Order dismissing this action against her. The action will continue against the other remaining defendants.

Last year, Rebel News teamed up with Rumble and Donald Trump Jr. to host a major free speech conference.

The Liberals tried to shut it down. Why? Because they didn’t like what we had to say.

They used government power to pressure our venue to cancel the event. They demanded we pay tens of thousands in bogus “security” fees — or be shut down.

That’s illegal. That’s extortion.

We didn’t back down. And now we’re fighting back with a $287,000 lawsuit against the government, including Liberal MP Ya’ara Saks, for violating our Charter rights.

Rumble is paying half the legal bill. We need to raise the rest.
