NO COVID JAILS: We're suing the Trudeau government over COVID jails

We are suing Justin Trudeau’s government. It is not just to get justice for ourselves — we are applying to a federal judge to strike down this illegal and shameful COVID hotel program nationwide.

Update: We're suing the Trudeau government over COVID jails

March 23, 2021

We are suing Justin Trudeau’s government. Enough is enough.

If you have been following along, you’ll have seen my recent detention at a “government sanctioned COVID-19 isolation facility.” That is Liberal Party-speak for government gulag.

I was recently on a work assignment in Florida, covering Canadian vaccine refugees fleeing Trudeau’s procurement failure and heading stateside for a poke in the arm. Upon returning, I was threatened with a $750,000 fine and six months in jail if I did not submit to an illegal throat inspection and subsequently present myself to a local gulag.

Not only does this program trample over the fundamental rights and freedoms of thousands of Canadians every week — it is causing irreparable financial, emotional, and in some cases, physical harm to countless vulnerable citizens.

Specifically, our lawsuit argues that this government program is a flagrant and ongoing violation of sections 7, 8, and 9 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (along with a few other laws and freedoms).

Make no mistake, this lawsuit and the program itself are leaving a black eye on the government. The people who Trudeau is interning as political scapegoats — leaving them mobbing hotel employees for food — are the very same people who would typically be voting Liberal. Canadians who are members of ethnic minorities and have family members abroad — that is Trudeau’s bread and butter. This program is such a stain on Trudeau that the government issued a state-sanctioned comedy sketch on the CBC’s This Hour Has 22 Minutes, mocking my coverage of the inner workings of these facilities.

Of course, the state comedians laughed at my disgust with the cold toaster waffles, but neglected to mention the women who have allegedly been assaulted and molested in Trudeau’s “isolation facilities.” They forgot to mention the families who can’t cover rent after Trudeau extorted $2,000 from them as a political punishment for going to see their dying relatives abroad.

Rebel News and I are suing Trudeau because it is the right thing to do. It is not just to get justice for ourselves — we are applying to a federal judge to strike down this illegal and shameful program nationwide. If you want to see that happen, please consider helping us crowdfund our legal bills. It is the only way we can keep going.

My friend and colleague, Keean Bexte, has been doing hard time without parole in one of Justin Trudeau’s COVID jails.

Keean was nabbed at the Calgary airport after being sent on assignment in Florida. He was doing real journalism, investigating what life is like in the Sunshine State, where Republican Governor Ron DeSantis rejected lockdowns from the very beginning. Unlike CBC’s boss lady Catherine Tait, who lives in New York yet routinely commutes back to Canada to collect her taxpayer-funded salary, Keean was not offered the same exceptions to the new forced hotel quarantine that many bail-out journalists receive, though journalism — which Keean was absolutely doing — is one of those exempt professions, like trucking or energy production.

Keean knew he would be snatched up and shuttled off to hotel hell. But, he is making the best of a terrible infringement on his rights by documenting what he experiences, from the airport testing procedures to life inside the overpriced hotel where he gets just a handful of fresh-air breaks per day out of his room, all of which come with a constant security escort.

He is the first and will probably be the only journalist in Canada who is willing to go into the belly of the beast and insert himself into one of Trudeau’s COVID jails to experience it firsthand. Keean’s mission is to offer the transparency and clarity about this system to worried travellers, who are not getting it from their own government.

Keean’s mission is not without risk. He is without his medication that he needs to take daily. Two sexual assaults are alleged to have taken place within the federal quarantine system. It’s expensive, too — in Keean’s case more than twice the cost of a similar room in the same hotel. And he says the food sucks!

I drove to Calgary after I heard that Keean had been forced against his will into a covid jail in his own city instead of being allowed to go to his own home to isolate. I interviewed Keean through the window of his room, Romeo and Juliet style, to get the whole story of what happens inside his COVID jail. These places are real, though the mainstream media has spent months claiming they were imaginary “conservative conspiracy theories.”

The outrageous hotel bills for travellers to quarantine amount to a head tax on Canadians returning to their own country. Canadians have a Charter right to come home, and locking up innocent people and treating them like Typhoid Mary is tyrannical.

Keean Bexte is in COVID Jail

February 28, 2021

Remember when Trudeau's CBC state broadcaster said that mandatory quarantine facilities were "misinformation”? Well, they're real, and they're awful.

Rebel News has been covering the establishment of these quarantine facilities for months.

Now they're forcing innocent, healthy travellers to quarantine in these government facilities at an enormous expense — up to $2,000 for a three-night detention. To make matters even worse, there have been alleged sexual assaults at some of the government approved quarantine facilities. What on earth is going on?

This past weekend, Keean was on the ground in Florida reporting on that state's freedom-oriented approach to the pandemic. Now that he's coming back to Canada, he's just the latest Canadian citizen being forced into these Trudeau COVID jails.

So rather than just complain about it, we're going to document these COVID jails — from the inside.

Over the next three days, please be sure to check back here at www.NoCovidJails.com, and follow Keean on his Twitter account, as he reports to you from the inside of Trudeau's squalid — and surely unconstitutional — detention centres. We know the CBC is obsessed with Keean's reports — maybe after seeing his reports, they'll finally admit these COVID jails exist!

Please check back here regularly. And please help us cover the cost of Keean's detention — which we expect to be a shocking $2,000 bill.

Keean's healthy — he has taken several COVID tests in recent days, both in Canada and the U.S. But Trudeau just wants to flex his muscles, and condition Canadians into accepting these restrictions as the “new normal."

Please help us cover Keean's expenses (including the cost of his COVID jail), so that we can bring you this one-of-a-kind journalism. Thanks!

Justin Trudeau is grabbing Canadians at our remaining international airports. Similar to how Donald Trump’s travel ban caused foreign nationals to be stranded at airports across the United States, Trudeau has done the same — but to his own citizens.

The added twist in the unfolding Canadian case is that the Prime Minister is using private security contractors to kidnap Canadians, after they manage to get through customs. Specifically, Trudeau is using G4S, GardaWorld and Paladin Risk Solutions to grab you when you land, and escort you to a Liberal Party approved holding cell at a secure government-occupied hotel complex.

This is serious, but Canadian and international civil liberties groups are missing in action. When it was Trump, it was all hands on deck from social justice lawyers and civil liberties groups. When it's Justin “Great Reset” Trudeau — crickets.

Rebel News has been helping people around the world fight unjust lockdown fines that violated their civil liberties, and now we are redoubling that effort here at home to help Canadians in need.
