Trudeau's $41 million in foreign aid to China included money to address pollution

How much is Trudeau's admiration for China's basic dictatorship costing Canadian taxpayers?

About 41 million dollars in foreign aid in 2019 alone.

Blacklock's has the full story behind their paywall:

Canadian foreign aid to China totaled $41 million last year, according to newly-released data from the Department of Foreign Affairs. China has a $13 trillion economy and $10 billion space program.

A Statistical Report On International Assistance said Canadian aid to the People’s Republic last year was more than funds paid to the Philippines ($38 million), Rwanda ($36 million), Guatemala ($25 million) or Cambodia ($9 million).

“A deepened and broadened relationship with China is a priority for the Government of Canada,” Krista Humick, spokesperson for the foreign ministry, said in an earlier statement”

Outside of the foreign aid spending, in 2019, $1.6 million in direct aid to the CCP was Environment and Climate Change Canada, headed by former minister Catherine McKenna. A controversial March 2020 grant for $830,000 to do rapid testing research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the lab suspected as the source of the coronavirus, was recently uncovered by Rebel News.

“A deepened and broadened relationship with China is a priority for the Government of Canada,” Krista Humick, spokesperson for the foreign ministry, said in an earlier statement”

In the meantime, the last time we saw proof of life from one of the two Canadian political prisoners kidnapped by the regime — Kovrig and Spavor — was over a month ago when Kovrig was allowed to call his ailing father after 16 months in captivity.
