Airport Mask Exemption

Requirements

Must have face mask in airport, made of multiple layers of tightly woven material that covers the nose, mouth and chin without gapping, cannot board without it.

Must wear face mask at airport screening checkpoints; during boarding and disembarking process; and during flight.

“A person must comply with any instructions given by a gate agent, a member of the aerodrome’s security personnel or a crew member with respect to wearing a face mask”

Exemptions

  • Children under age 2
  • Children age 2-6 who are unable to tolerate wearing mask
  • Person who provides a medical certificate certifying that they are unable to wear a face mask for a medical reason
  • Person unable to remove their face mask without assistance
  • When the person’s safety could be endangered by wearing a mask
  • When eating or drinking

Must comply with instructions given by crew and security personnel in any event.
