This week Alberta Premier Jason Kenney announced a massive partnership between the Government of Alberta and First Nation bands across the province.

The collaboration will finance the Cascade Power Project, a $1.5 billion, 900MW facility that will supply power to 900,000 homes.

It’s a huge story, but during Wednesday’s press conference to make the official announcement, the Media Party insisted on asking Premier Kenney inane questions about completely unrelated topics; however, we at Rebel News didn’t fight so hard for access to the Alberta Press Gallery to do the same thing.

I actually asked the premier about indigenous buy-in to natural resource projects like this one.
