Chinese state-media editor mocks Trump COVID-19 diagnosis

Chinese state media The Global Times editor-in-chief is gloating about Trump catching COVID-19.

The Chinese Communist Party’s propaganda arm is hard at work painting a picture of President Donald Trump’s demise immediately after the news broke out that Trump and First Lady Melania contracted COVID-19, or as Trump calls it, the “China Virus.”

The Global Times is a tabloid operation that’s a part of China’s People’s Daily newspaper that routinely publishes opinions that reflect the authoritarian regime’s unspoken views.

“President Trump and the first lady have paid the price for his gamble to play down the COVID-19,” gleefully tweeted the outlet’s editor-in-chief Hu Xijin.

“The news shows the severity of the US’ pandemic situation. It will impose a negative impact on the image of Trump and the US, and may also negatively affect his reelection,” he continued.

Hu Xijin’s spiteful remarks reflect the Chinese Communist Party’s poor view of Donald Trump. According to U.S. intelligence agencies, China favours Joe Biden as the candidate for president in 2020.

The distasteful celebrations following the news has been echoed across social media from former staffers of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. "I hope he dies" says a former Democratic staffer, Zara Rahim, who functioned as a Clinton spokeswoman.

“It’s a gigantic deal that a virus that originated in China — and spread globally due to the Chinese Communist Party’s lies — has now infected the president of the United States,” tweeted Daily Caller’s Vince Coglianese. “China has imperiled the leader of the free world.”

“Thank you for the love you are sending our way. I have mild symptoms but overall feeling good. I am looking forward to a speedy recovery,” the First Lady tweeted.

The Spectator’s Andrew Neil reported, “Mr Trump reported to have mild to middling fever, nasal congestion, coughs.”

Despite Trump following advice and protocol from leading experts in epidemiology, including Dr. Fauci, the ever tolerant left are foaming out the mouth with wishes of death and despair for the Trump family.
