“Keep fighting!”: Freedom Festival hits working-class Toronto suburb in protest against lockdowns
A group of dedicated freedom lovers braved the blustery weather and gathered at Memorial Park in Oshawa on Sunday, November 1.
Coined as the “Freedom Festival” — the organizers had a selection of live bands, guest speakers and various groups sharing their initiatives and information.
The speaker line up included representatives from Ontario Civil Liberties Association, Hugs Over Masks, Rise Up Durham, a few teachers and Project Phoenix - an initiative calling for food and clothing donations for homeless.
Despite the dreary weather, the gathering saw close to 100 attendees.
The various groups came together to speak out against government overreach and crippling lockdowns. They advocate for transparency and accountability from both elected politicians and health officials to justify the measures being imposed on people and businesses alike.
The environment at the demonstration was uplifting and friendly. Police were present on the sidelines, observing the peaceful assembly and ensuring the safety of everyone in attendance and passersby.
With more inclement winter weather on the way, patriotic Canadians are saying bundle up and come out to support the fight for freedom!
