Avi Yemini CONFRONTS mainstream media at lockdown protest
The latest lockdown protest in Melbourne was brutal. Police trapped, pepper-sprayed, beat, arrested and fined 400 attendees.
Police forced protesters into breaking the rules before pouncing even though there is almost zero Coronavirus in the state.
But you wouldn't know that if you watched the mainstream media coverage on the protest.
Cassie Zervos from Channel Seven ran from me when I asked if she was going to be more honest in her reporting this time.
Meanwhile, protesters confronted Quill award-winning journalist, Laura Turner from Channel Nine.
I asked the seasoned journalist if she was going to report on the two-tier policing happening before her eyes but got no response; she filmed me on her iPhone instead.
Miss Turner's report for Channel Nine painted the peaceful protesters as "aggressive" and didn't show the controversial police tactics.
Her report didn't present the contrast in policing of BLM either.
