Maxime Bernier and Ezra Levant discuss the People's Party's new media venture, the Conservative leadership race and more

In this in-depth conversation that first aired in two-parts on The Ezra Levant Show, I talk to People's Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier about a wide range of topics.

Bernier tells me that he believes that the People's Party of Canada's election results were, while disappointing, also "historic."

With the election over, he's announced that the Party has launched a new YouTube channel to promote their platform of less government, and more freedom.

We also talk about the Conservative Party's leadership race, what he thinks of the candidates, the "Pride Parade" "controversy," and the "tight" rules of the nomination process.

Bernier also criticizes the Conservatives' movement to the centre, away from the right.

What do you think of Bernier's answers? (And what do you think of my questions?) It’s part of our mission at Rebel News to speak to interesting newsmakers and give them fair coverage. That’s pretty much the opposite of Trudeau's CBC state broadcaster, that either ignores conservatives or attacks them, don’t you think?

If you thought this was interesting, please consider chipping in a bit to help cover my travel costs to meet Bernier in Montreal. Please click here to help keep our independent journalism strong — thanks!
