It all started with a tweet: Donald Trump mused about buying Greenland, and the reaction was predictable!
The world's media condemned the idea as ludicrous and a sign that there's a mad man operating in the White House.
IS BUYING GREENLAND REALLY A CRAZY IDEA?
After all, the United States bought Alaska from Russia in 1867 for $7.2 million! And there was the Louisiana Purchase in 1803!
Well, The Rebel has sent Jessica Swietoniowski to Greenland to find out what the locals think — has anyone thought to ask them?
We want to learn more about that country and to test the waters — is Trump's idea really that crazy? What do Greenlanders actually think of Trump's proposal (and not what the "fake news" media tells them to think)? What is Greenland really like? And what would the advantages (and disadvantages) be if it did, in fact, become the USA's 51st state?

I doubt there’s anything so complex there. Trump’s strategies are indeed so complex as to baffle anyone living in this reality. A month later, the Rebel complies by sending one of their two remaining journalists to Greenland to find out that … it’s a place that exists.
Greenland isn’t a hostile power, the Danes and EU are about the friendliest allies you can get, plus, Greenland itself is far better suited to being a contributing part of a small European country than the US, where, as a territory, it would have no political say as it gets overrun by American mega-corps who pretty much do whatever they want. -
