The U.S. Embassy in Ottawa has published a fact sheet titled "Monitoring Canadian Activities in U.S. Politics," and Prime Minister Mark Carney's answer is a jobs brag: "We're growing jobs at twice the rate of the United States." Carney shrugs off Ontario's ads in Republican districts, admits Washington's "approach has changed, and so must ours," and cracks up when Doug Ford says he loves Quebecers. Meanwhile, Liberal insiders call the embassy's concerns "absurd" and "pathetic."
Ottawa and Queen's Park commit billions more in bailouts to Ontario steel and autos, including $2.5 billion for electric and connected vehicles, while Pierre Poilievre says Carney elbowed veterans aside to hand contracts to a foreign firm.
