Universities love to boast about challenging power. But what happens when students challenge the radicalism being excused by the people running the campus?

On this episode of The Gunn Show, I’m joined by Rebel News interns Drew Sylver and Anastasia Zorchinsky to discuss their campus activism against Islamic radicalism and the role they say student unions and academia play in enabling it.

These are young people willing to ask uncomfortable questions in places where “critical thinking” too often seems to mean agreeing with the professor. They’re pushing back against an ideology that deserves scrutiny, even when campus authorities would prefer the conversation simply disappear.

I’ll ask Drew and Anastasia what motivated them to get involved and what they’ve encountered along the way. How do you challenge extremism when the institutions responsible for protecting open debate are themselves part of the problem? And what does meaningful resistance look like for students who refuse to keep their heads down?

Student unions collect students’ money. Universities receive substantial public support. Neither should be above questions about the causes they champion or the conduct they tolerate.

Join me for a conversation about confronting campus orthodoxy and defending the freedom to speak. Drew and Anastasia are bringing their experiences to the table, and I want to hear what Canada’s university establishment would rather leave comfortably unexamined.

Help Rebel News confront the pro-Hamas jihadis rioting in our streets!

Rebel News is taking a stand against radical, pro-Hamas rioters by deploying our digital billboard truck and seasoned reporters to demonstrations across Canada. Our team is on the frontline, exposing and challenging these extremists taking over our streets. We urgently need your support to cover the costs of operating and maintaining the billboard truck and to hire security guards to protect the truck and our reporters. Your contribution will help us maintain a strong presence at these protests, defend journalistic freedom, and stand firm against these foreign extremists taking over our streets.
