The cold-blooded assassination of U.S. conservative hero Charlie Kirk has shocked the world and exposed, once again, the deadly threat posed by violent far-left extremists.

For years, politicians and the media have downplayed the danger of radical left-wing groups like Antifa. But Charlie Kirk’s murder makes it impossible to ignore the truth any longer: Antifa is not a protest movement. It is a violent, organised network that uses terror to advance its political agenda.

Today, they operate in cities across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom & Europe, Australia, New Zealand and beyond — hijacking protests, inciting riots and targeting conservatives, journalists, and ordinary citizens.

They have assaulted private citizens with deadly weapons.

They have attacked police, vandalized property and shut down peaceful events with explosives, tear gas and brute force.

They have threatened the lives of political opponents and now their followers have followed through.

This is not “activism.” This is terrorism.

For too long, governments have ignored this growing threat while media outlets provided cover, treating Antifa as a “movement” instead of the violent extremist organization it is. That ends now.

The United States is finally considering officially designating Antifa and similar far-left groups as terrorist organizations. Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand must follow suit. Only by applying the same laws and counter-terrorism tools used against other violent extremists can we protect our communities and send a clear message: political violence will not be tolerated.

This is not about left or right. It is about public safety, the rule of law, and defending democracy itself.
