On a recent episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Alberta-based Rebel Keean Bexte joined Ezra to discuss his new campaign: Chinese Lobbyist

The Chinese Lobbyist in question is Justin Trudeau's handpicked, now-former, ambassador to China, John McCallum. McCallum, whose defence of Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou led to his forced resignation, left the government and immediately began lobbying it on behalf of his new bosses: the Wailian Group.

As Keean explains, the background on the current situation is this:

So, basically, the crux of it is John McCallum chose China over Canada, and in doing so he broke a few laws in Canada  mainly the Lobbying Act, from what we can tell.

John McCallum who now works for the Wailian Group, which is this immigration industry company in China which specializes in bringing Chinese oligarch's children to Canada and to Europe and to all these other places. He works for them, he gives these speeches and he gives them advice.

In that process he was speaking with his friend — his good friend — Marco Mendicino, the minister of immigration here in Canada who replaced the last few that had separated him and John McCallum. There's a bit of a relationship there, John McCallum has a bit of history in that department and they had a conversation that they kept completely off the record.

Even though Marco and McCallum both admitted to the conversation happening when we ATIP'd [access to information privacy] it, there was nothing on the record.
