On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, we discussed the conflicting reports of whether Canada will receive 100,000 Palestinians from Lebanon and Syria.
The report was first printed in an Arabic language Lebanese newspaper and then translated into English for the Jerusalem Post. Once the article started making its rounds to the Canadian media, the Ministry of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship under Ahmed Hussen denied it.
But there are complicating factors here. Donald Trump is currently working on a Middle East peace plan, but with two upcoming national elections (Israel in 2 weeks and Canada in just around 6 weeks), it would be sensible for Trump to keep immigration proposals quiet for a few weeks yet.
