Olivia Chow blasted by north Toronto residents ahead of mayoral election
Impromptu polling in north Toronto reveals that constituents are subscribing to “A.B.C.” in the mayoral election: Anybody But Chow…
Rebel News recently visited north Toronto to do some informal polling. Which is to say, we asked passersby near the intersection of Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue West if they had made up their minds when it comes to the Toronto mayoral election. Get this: with the exception of just one person*, everyone else went out of their way to say who they were NOT going to vote for: namely, the incumbent mayor, Olivia Chow.
(*Of note, as for that one Chow supporter, when asked why he was supporting the mayor for re-election, no answer was forthcoming.)
Meanwhile, things look promising for her number one challenger, Brad Bradford. His name was the one most mentioned as the best alternative to Mayor Chow.
Still, does this really come as any surprise? After three years of Mayor Chow, Toronto has accelerated its descent into the gutter.
The dubious achievements include:
- Needles in playgrounds
- Homeless encampments in baseball diamonds and parks
- Litter and graffiti everywhere
- A record crimewave
- Unbearable gridlock (Toronto now has the worst traffic in North America – this includes Los Angelese and Mexico City!)
- Ignoring and even accommodating antisemitism in the streets
- An almost 20% property tax increase in just three years
Really, when it comes to Olivia Chow’s record, what’s not to loathe?
Election day is Monday, Oct. 26. It will be fascinating to see if most Torontonians vote for must-needed change. Or if they are comfortably numb and inexplicably approve of Olivia Chow’s miserable leadership.
Stay tuned.
