The annual Reviving the Islamic Spirit convention was back in Toronto this weekend. It featured such components as a Quran Competition and a Grand Bazaar.
But among the convention’s “distinguished scholars and presenters” are those individuals who have expressed repugnant views toward such identifiable groups as women, Jews, and homosexuals.
But where is the outrage from the usual activists and those in the Media Party who are typically so quick to raise a stink in left-leaning Toronto when it comes to politically-incorrect speech? For whatever reason, when it comes to this Islamic conference, the usual suspects all seem to be espousing the mantra of, “nothing to see here, folks...”
