Freedom Convoy leaders react to concerning state of Canada
Convoy co-leader Chris Barber speaks out on democracy, persecution and Western independence.
I caught up with Canadian trucker, and my co-accused, Chris Barber this week as he was on his way back with a load from Montana.
In part one of my chat with Chris we touch on democracy, the spectacle that was the 2026 NDP Convention, the Juno Awards and we reflect on the persecution of convoy participants, our thoughts on western independence and so much more!
It's incredible what Chris and I have been through these past four years, all for being a part of the most peaceful and polite protest of all-time, standing alongside truckers and Canadians who were sick and tired of having their rights stripped away.
If there is one thing that Chris isn't, it's afraid to speak his mind and we had the opportunity to sit down and have a very candid conversation.

You’re absolutely correct Chris – WE didn’t change – our GOVERNMENT abandoned what Canada was all about & instead are implementing policies & regulations that foreign entities want to impose on all Western countries. Why do you think the WEF’s famous saying is: You will own nothing & be happy. THEY ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT & will impose those radical ideas on us while they’ll be out and about, flying in their private jets, investing in companies that have government “approvals” and the scariest thing of all, they’ll allow foreign entities to do what Canadian industries are not allowed. Do you think China will be content with just putting 49,000 EV’s that no one will buy and that we don’t have the infrastructure anyway? No. Soon they’ll be demanding access to our minerals, (with their people working the mines) and our O&G industry. Becoming “partners” with China will destroy what we have. China will be in the position to control our economy if not by our government but eventually by force. Our politicians are SO CORRUPT & IGNORANT & STUPID they can’t see past their next lucrative paycheck!! Apparently, there are Canadians who don’t have an issue with this or are too apathetic to care. I hope to God that I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am. Carney is extremely dangerous because he has no vested interest in Canada & people are blinded by his actions. -

It’s really astonishing how people don’t like the idea of direct democracy which is what the referendum is about. Switzerland (?) I believe runs their government based on referendums twice a year and it works wonderfully!! God forbid that CANADIANS have their say.
