Anti-pipeline “Indigenous Youth for Wet’suwet’en” ask for 4k cameras, drones and gas-powered generators for next protest

At a time when Canadians are staying home, avoiding non-essential travel, and putting their lives on hold, radical environmental activists are taking the time to stage direct action against the Coastal GasLink pipeline.

Of course, like any good grifter, they are asking Canadians to foot the bill for their glamorous camping/protest trip.

“Indigenous Youth for Wet’suwet’en” are begging for donations to mount their anti-pipeline action, including asking for gas powered generators (no, I am not kidding).

They also want several 4K cameras, cell phones, mobile satellite receivers, industrial strength laptops, drones, and luxury tents. Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, they also want your cold hard cash.

Youth in Florida drew international attention last week after flagrantly disobeying orders to avoid non-essential travel to party during March Break. Now, a group of Indigenous youth plan to embed themselves in the northern BC community, one with unique health risks.

This shows that they are simply protesting out of self interest. They are risking the lives of the Indigenous elders, and the health of everyone already in close quarter camps on the pipeline route.
