B.C. premier worried about 'desensitizing' public to state of emergency declaration
With the Summerland wildfire causing the largest evacuation in British Columbia's history, Premier David Eby told the media he was reluctant to declare a state of emergency over concerns the public could be "desensitized" to future warnings.
