“Anything to keep us divided”: Toronto's anti-lockdown rally (Halloween edition)
On Halloween, something truly terrifying crept through the communities of Canada. No, it wasn't a ghoul or a goblin — but Dr. Theresa Tam's coronavirus briefing!
Indeed, just a few days before All Hallows’ Eve, Dr. Frankenstein — er, I mean, Dr. Tam — issued her report on the Wuhan — er, I mean, COVID-19 — virus.
But just check out the subtitle of her 86-page report: “From Risk to Resilience: An Equity Approach to COVID-19.”
“Equity”? Excuse me?
Indeed, the virus itself and the economic carnage it has created the world over is but a mere side story when it comes to the good doctor. You see, what is of primary concern to Dr. Tam are such things as: ableism, ageism, intersectionality, and of course, racism.
So, if one thought they were going to be reading a document beholden to science and medicine, think again! This report was just more virtue-signalling pablum.
Indeed, while Canadians are out of work and businesses are going bankrupt thanks to tone-deaf politicians and bungling bureaucrats, the public health official in charge of this mess is deeply concerned about constructs such as ableism, ageism, intersectionality and racism!
Little wonder that the rank and file of #YahooNation who gathered yet again at Yonge-Dundas Square had much to say (none of it positive) about this heaping helping of nonsense from the office of Canada’s Chief Public Quack…
