Baby Jesus depicted as caged refugee child in Toronto church's “Detained Christ” nativity

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas... Well, not really. Case in point: the nativity scene at Toronto’s Eastminster United Church.

Now called “The Detained Christ”, the church's Christmas display depicts the baby Jesus inside a cage and wrapped in a solar blanket.

Apparently, this art installation is meant to raise awareness of illegal migrants and refugee claimants. Gee, where are the Three Wise Men when you really need them?
