Climate change zealot Senator Mary Coyle billed nearly $17,000 in flights to taxpayers

One of the biggest climate doomsayers of the Senate loves to rack up the airmiles.

Mary Coyle was appointed by Justin Trudeau to the Senate in 2017.Her official Senate biography indicates that she has lived a life of privilege and extreme social justice.

“Mary Coyle played an instrumental role in the establishment of the Stephen Lewis Foundation, the Romeo Dallaire Child Soldiers Initiative, and the Indian School of Microfinance for Women.”

Once Coyle snagged her appointment to the Senate got busy pushing the liberal and anti-oil agenda.

She was firmly against the approval of Teck Resources 21 billion dollar oil sands project and she's been hinting at being against the government owned Trans Mountain Pipeline. In fact, hating on oil and gas and climate change is all Coyle seems to talk about. She did an interview with the far-left publication, the National Observer, last week.

Headline: “Senator says Canadians are Soured on Big Oilsands Project”

“While Coyle said she was “not taking a position publicly” herself on whether Trudeau’s cabinet should approve the $20-billion Frontier project — which would produce four megatonnes of carbon pollution per year for 40 years, a figure that does not include the emissions generated when the oil it produces is burned — she said the way Canadians voted in the last election could hint at the outcome.

“This is a tough one for the government to make. I think I know where it’s going to go. We saw Alberta drawing a line in the sand with the (Trans Mountain) pipeline. Now there’s another line in the sand. And you can’t keep going with those lines in the sand,”

Weeks prior, Coyle penned in the Hill Times arguing that Canadians need to come together to meet net-zero emissions. However, by “coming together” she means you and I doing less with less. We are all supposed to use fewer fossil fuels but Coyle? She’s not signing up for her own ideas.

Blacklocks Reporter broke the news of Coyle’s hypocrisy: Climate Catastrophe Senator Billed $16,778 For Air Travel.

The Senate’s leading climate advocate billed nearly $17,000 for flights last year, according to records released yesterday. Senator Mary Coyle of Antigonish, N.S. has urged Canadians to take bold action to avert a “climate catastrophe”.

When Mary Coyle starts acting like there's an emergency, I might take her seriously. Until such time, she's just another liberal hypocrite who wants the rest of us to live a way that she would never.
