COWARDS AND BULLIES
This is Canada, not Beijing. Shut down the CCP's police stations.
Dear Prime Minister Carney,
On September 22, a man wearing the Chinese flag assaulted a peaceful Falun Gong practitioner on a public sidewalk outside Beijing's consulate in Toronto, declared the sidewalk "Chinese territory," and threatened to kill her. This is transnational repression on Canadian soil, and it is part of a pattern: the Chinese Communist Party's so-called "police stations" in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal exist to track, intimidate and silence Chinese-Canadians.
I call on you to identify and charge the man responsible, and to deport him if he is not a Canadian citizen; to expel any Chinese diplomat found to be involved in intimidating people in Canada, as Canada did with Zhao Wei in 2023; and to permanently shut down every CCP police station operating in this country.
Chinese-Canadians are Canadians. This is Canada, not Beijing.
On the morning of September 22, Lina Li was standing on a public sidewalk outside the Chinese consulate at 240 St. George Street in Toronto. She was doing what Falun Gong practitioners have done there every weekday for years: holding a banner calling for an end to the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of her faith.
A man in a jacket bearing the Chinese flag walked up and started tearing the banners down. When Li tried to protect them, he turned on her. He declared the sidewalk "Chinese territory." He screamed "I will kill you." Li was left bleeding from her chin. A second practitioner, Nora Geng, says she was kicked while filming.
Then he walked away — before police arrived. He hasn't been identified. He hasn't been charged.
The video went viral. Millions of people have now watched a man wrap himself in the flag of a foreign dictatorship and threaten to kill a Canadian woman on a Canadian street for the crime of peaceful protest.
Sign the petition now and tell Prime Minister Carney: this is Canada, not Beijing.
The consulate says it had nothing to do with him
After Rebel News reported the attack, the Chinese Consulate General in Toronto told us the man "has no connection" to the consulate and accused us of "malicious implication."
Fine. Then help identify him. Hand over whatever you know. Condemn what he did on your doorstep.
They've done none of that. The man who said the sidewalk outside Beijing's consulate was "Chinese territory" is still walking free, and the consulate's only concern is its reputation.
This isn't an isolated incident
Falun Gong practitioners told our reporter Scarlett Grace that this was not the first time they'd faced aggression outside the consulate. What made this time different is that it was caught on camera.
And it fits a pattern Canadians already know about. The Chinese Communist Party has operated so-called "police stations" in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal — not to help anyone, but to track, intimidate and silence Chinese-Canadians who criticize Beijing. Speak out here, and your family back in China gets a knock on the door. The targets are the most vulnerable: students, women, grandmothers.
In 2023, Canada expelled Chinese diplomat Zhao Wei for targeting the family of a sitting Member of Parliament. It proved Canada can act when it wants to. So why are the police stations still operating? And why does a woman get threatened with death outside a consulate and nobody is held to account?
What we're demanding
Our petition to Prime Minister Carney asks for three things:
1. Identify and charge the man in the video — and deport him if he is not a Canadian citizen.
2. Expel any Chinese diplomat found to be involved in intimidating people in Canada, exactly as Canada did with Zhao Wei.
3. Permanently shut down every CCP police station operating on Canadian soil.
What Rebel News is doing about it
The mainstream media shrugged. We didn't.
On September 28 we parked our digital billboard truck outside the consulate's front door, playing the viral video on a loop alongside a message in English and Mandarin: Chinese-Canadians have the same rights as every other Canadian, and your bully tactics don't work here. The Falun Gong practitioners outside welcomed us. One woman told us we were doing what the police had failed to do.
We're running a tip line to identify the attacker. Scarlett Grace is on the ground. And we're taking this petition — with your name on it — to the Prime Minister.
Chinese-Canadians are Canadians
This isn't about China. It's about whether a foreign regime gets to decide who is allowed to speak on a Toronto sidewalk.
The cowards and bullies at the consulate are counting on Canadians to look away. Don't.
