Tonight, on The Ezra Levant Show, British activist Kellie-Jay Keen recounts a terrifying phone call from the police, asking her to explain her tweets.

Kellie-Jay Keen — better known online as Posie Parker — has spent years campaigning for women's rights against transgender extremism. She is also, unapologetically, alive to the threat posed by radical Islam in Britain. That combination has made her a repeat target of the Metropolitan Police.

A few days ago, officers phoned Keen to invite her in for a "voluntary interview" over tweets from 2013 and 2015 and a speech she gave at Tommy Robinson's Unite the Kingdom rally. Keen had the presence of mind to record the entire six-minute call, then turned it into a Lego-animated video so the public could watch her own government read her tweets back to her like evidence in a show trial.

"It's about the intention of the tweets," an officer told her. "So we need to evidentially ask you some questions in regards to your intention when you made those comments."

This makes her offence less of a word crime and more of a thought crime, pointed out Ezra. He drew the parallel to his own 2008 hauling before the Alberta Human Rights Commission for republishing the Danish Mohammed cartoons. Same question: What were your intentions?

The two also discussed Britain's roughly 80 Sharia courts, unprosecuted female genital mutilation cases, and what Keen calls a "Muslim network" inside the Crown Prosecution Service shaping enforcement of malicious communications law.

As always, Ezra reminded viewers that what happens in the UK should serve as a "grim warning" to those of us across the Atlantic.

"What happens in the UK today will happen in Canada within five years," he said, "and in the United States within ten."

When has there not been a ‘war’ against free speech? Today, it’s climaxing so to make it clear who is on either side.

Very good Ezra, you did good with your conversation with Kellie-Jay, especially reading the poem, very thoughtful. Strength be with her.

It sure as hell will NEVER happen in the US under amazing people-caring leadership of President Trump!
It’s already here under Marxist Carney’s inability to hear people tell him exactly what HE IS, and better still what he IS NOT!! Just check the legislative Bills on speech!!

Re Kellie-Jay Keen’s remarks concerning Islam:
With fundamentalist Christianity, you get the Amish. With fundamentalist Judaism, you get the Haredim. With fundamentalist Islam, you get Hamas.

Ideas do have consequences. Socialism and Islam are both antithetical to freedom. Both are totalitarian philosophies. Both use violence, like the Prague Spring of 1968, to suppress the idea that people can decide for themselves what’s good for them. We saw that recently with COVID and the ostrich slaughter. Let’s study history instead of repeating it.
