On Wednesday, the University of Toronto was home to a despicable sight: a few hundred Islamists, Marxists and assorted other useful idiots gathered outside the university’s faculty of Arts & Science to stage a “vigil” re: the massacre that occurred in Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.

That grim day marked the single biggest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. Almost 1,200 innocent people were murdered; an additional 251 were kidnapped (many of whom died in captivity.)

And yet in Toronto, Ontario in the Dominion of Canada, this massacre was actually being celebrated by those who favour savagery over civilization. That’s because this “vigil” wasn’t for the innocent victims that day. Rather, it was for the so-called “martyrs” — a.k.a., Hamas terrorists.

It was gross to witness.

But that’s the thing: something else was kidnapped on Oct. 7, 2023, in addition to 251 people. And that would be the narrative of what really happened on Oct 7.

Indeed, before the bodies were cold, a well-funded propaganda campaign kicked in in which the victims were portrayed as the victimizers. Israel was vilified and the terrorist group Hamas was glorified. And the usual suspects played along, ranging from mainstream media trained seals and leftist academics to public sector unions and clueless members of Generation Z.

Indeed, after bearing witness to the latest antisemitic hate-fest on the streets of Toronto, we can draw three conclusions:

First, the support for a terrorist group that committed the single largest massacre of Jews post-Holocaust is clearly being driven by the Islamists and Marxists. It is truly an unholy alliance, yet both factions are united in their common goal of tearing down western society to rebuild what remains as an Islamist or Marxist utopia (which, alas, has never existed.)

Second, the politicians and the police have utterly failed to enforce the law, opting instead to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to antisemitic lawlessness. For the past three years, we have observed chants for genocide, the display of swastikas, and even reprobates cosplaying as terrorists and totting around fake hand grenades (at least we hope those grenades are fakes.) Prime Minister Mark Carney, meanwhile, is all about rewarding bad behaviour.

He has given $600 million so far to “Palestine”; make no mistake: the terrorist group Hamas will undoubtedly receive its cut of your tax dollars.) Meanwhile, Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow and Ontario Premier Doug Ford don’t give a rodent’s rectum about the hatred on display – presumably wary of offending a growing voting demographic.

And in the department of plenty of blame to go around, the police have emboldened the pro-Hamas crowd, delivering Timbits and coffee to them on cold days while arresting peaceful counter demonstrators and members of the independent press as the Islamists claim they are offended by their mere presence. (Of note: we did not directly engage with the hooligans on Wednesday as there was a good chance that law enforcement would throw us into a paddy wagon yet again.) Disgraceful.

Finally, what we have seen these past three years is the utter failure of official state sanctioned multiculturalism in Canada. This policy was ushered in by Pierre Trudeau in the early ’70s. The unspoken deal was this: come to Canada from wherever you hail. Pursue the Canadian dream; take advantage of all our social assistance programs. What we ask from you: obey the law. Do not import age-old grievances into Canada. Behave. Clearly, that has not been the case.

And the Liberals’ solution to the ongoing hatred raging on our streets? In addition to cutting cheques to “Palestine”, they are importing Gazan refugees to Canada. In other words, they are throwing gasoline on a raging fire in the hope that this strategy will pay off at the ballot box. Party before country, you understand…
